Since its incorporation, the Foundation has funded the purchase of both new and replacement equipment for Louise Marshall Hospital.
Redevelopment Project
In September 2011, the provincial government announced that it approved the expansion of Louise Marshall Hospital – specifically the Emergency Room and Ambulatory Care. The Foundation agreed to raise $5 million towards this Redevelopment Project, and has since met this fundraising goal. In September of 2019, an official ground-breaking ceremony was held, and construction has begun.
Disbursement of Funds
Hospital management determines its immediate equipment needs for each department and in April each year, a formal list is presented to the Foundation. The Foundation then discusses and accepts the projects on the list.
Throughout the year, the Foundation encourages its supporters to fund these projects. When the invoiced amounts are presented, the Foundation disburses funds to pay for the equipment.
Your continuing financial support of The Mount Forest Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation makes a difference and helps our hospital provide the best health care right here in our rural community.
