The Mount Forest Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation was the fortunate recipient of a $500 donation from the Junior Optimist Octagon International (JOOI) of South Grey just before Christmas. The JOOI is very active in our community, volunteering with Maplefest and Mount Forest Ribfest, as well as area road clean-up. They also plant and harvest their own community garden and donate the produce to local food banks. The JOOI of South Grey supports both the Egremont and Normanby Optimists, and are currently welcoming new members aged 12-17.
