Educational support
From a NWHC employee's first day, learning opportunities and experiences create pathways for individual growth and development.
We offer a variety of educational programs and services to enable individuals, groups and teams to enhance their skills, knowledge and practices.
Education and training are provided through a variety of methods including Nursing Skills Fairs, Educational Council events, classroom, online and one-on-one coaching.
Videoconferencing
NWHC uses videoconferencing technology allowing staff and patients in different locations to interact for either the delivery of patient care, education or administrative purposes.
The use of videoconference technology fosters growth and knowledge sharing with a goal of improving patient care services.
Recognition and celebration
NWHC provides length of service awards to all eligible employees in order to recognize and celebrate loyal and dedicated service.
Awards are given to an employee, every five years, based on their total length of service from date of last hire.
NWHC Wellness Committee
The NWHC Wellness Committee consists of NWHC employees who volunteer their time to organize and promote wellness programs within the hospitals.
Activities such as health and wellness activities, staff pot-lucks, holiday decorating competitions and more are held throughout the year.
