Palmerston, ON…A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Palmerston and District Hospital (PDH), after one inpatient and two staff tested positive.

There is currently no inpatient visiting permitted at the hospital apart from very limited, special circumstances.

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak at PDH, obstetrical (OB) services will be temporarily redirected. OB patients should check with their physician to determine the best care plan. 

The hospital is working with Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health (WDGPH) to respond to the outbreak including staff/patient COVID testing. The exact variant of COVID-19 is not known at this time.

PDH’s emergency department, diagnostic imaging, ambulatory care, day surgery (not requiring hospital admission) services remain open. Please call ahead to confirm your appointment as plans could change.
