Mount Forest, ON…Construction on the Louise Marshall Hospital (LMH) Emergency Department (ED) and Ambulatory Care expansion is progressing well with completion of the first phase, which is space for a new Temporary Emergency Department (ED), scheduled to open on Thursday, March 5th, 2020.
“The opening of the Temp ED was delayed by a week due to complete equipment installation and life safety upgrades; however we are excited to move forward with the next stages of expansion redevelopment.” states Stephen Street, President and CEO, North Wellington Health Care (NWHC).
The Public should be aware of the following:
- Thursday, March 5th the Emergency Department will relocate within the hospital
- Friday, March 6th the old Main and Emergency Department entrance will close and a new entrance will open
- Saturday, March 7th Main Hospital Parking lot will close
“When arriving at the hospital please pay attention to the directional signs to help guide you to your service and drive carefully through the construction area.” States Street.
Once construction is complete, the redevelopment will provide a newly expanded Emergency and Ambulatory Care Department, covered Ambulance Bays, increased parking and improved accessibility.
